Companies House recently updated their changes to UK company law website with important information about upcoming changes that will affect the filing requirements for companies:

What's changing

Companies will be required to collect the full names of shareholders and provide a one-off full list of shareholders when they file their confirmation statement. This will be a positive step towards improving transparency of company ownership.

Timing and implementation

Whilst there is no confirmed date for when these changes will come into force, they confirm they will not be implemented before companies have completed identity verification requirements.

Updates to these changes will be posted on our website and social media channels.
