Persons filing at Companies house
Starting from Spring 2026, only company officers and employees whose identities have been verified will be permitted to submit filings at Companies House on behalf of their respective companies. They will not, under current regulations, be allowed to file for another group company where they do not hold the position of officer or employee. Director's ID filings - name discrepancies
It has been interesting to see that directors are registered at Companies House with a variation of the name used for biometric ID (normally passport). As an ACSP, this adds a further level of diligence to completing the registration and the issue of the unique Companies House code. Where there is a discrepancy, it is, in our opinion, necessary to revert to the client and confirm that we are indeed verifying the correct person. In most cases that date of birth is sufficient
