Since the introduction of the new legislation last year, the following changes/additions have taken place: -
New Powers:
Stronger checks on company names;
Power to impose civil financial penalties;
Query/Reject inconsistent/incorrect information the the register;
To annotate the register for potential issues;
To share data with other government agencies.
New Administrative Requirements:
Provision of appropriate registered office;
Lawful purpose assertion on Confirmation Statement;
Lawful purpose assertion on company registration.
Other Changes:
Substantial fee increases.
